2. Northgard

  • Download cost: $8.99
  • Integrated Purchasing: Yes
  • Size: 485 Mb
  • Google Play rating: 2.9 out of 5 stars

North gard is one of our favorites brain game right now, partly because of the Norse mythology theme, but also because it’s just a really good strategy brain game. Best of all, it wasn’t extremely difficult to learn. Although it takes a little practice to master, it’s easy to understand, play and learn the basics. Which can’t be said for all strategy brain games.

North gard has a large and diverse collection of content that you can play as a single player, but it also features a multiplayer mode. What we liked most about the multiplayer is that you can choose to play with or against other players. Which was a good idea.

That being said, a number of players seem to have issues with latency or the game loading properly. So keep that in mind when reviewing.

3. Despotism 3K

  • Download cost: $3.49
  • Integrated Purchasing: Yes
  • Size: 50 Mb
  • Google Play rating: 3.9 out of 5 stars

Despotism 3K is not for the faint of heart. It is filled with dark humor and more adult themes. Hence the Mature 17+ rating. If you don’t mind, there’s a lot to like here going on. First, it’s a premium title with a good price tag. And there arenoin-game purchases. So there is a win-win.

Most importantly, its classic style of retro graphics gives it a nice feel. Although it is mainly a strategy brain game, it also has rougelite features. So gamers beware.

4. Over there: Omega Edition

  • Download cost: $4.99
  • Integrated Purchasing: Yes
  • Size: 105 Mb
  • Google Play rating: 4.3 out of 5 stars

While games like Northgard were a bit easier to get into, Out There Omega Edition is not. It’s even listed as a difficult game by the developers, and they aren’t kidding. This brain game is challenging and you may find it hard to get past some parts. Fortunately, there is a forum for helpful tips, and you can always rely on your courage and willpower to get through.

In this game, you play the role of an astronaut who is more or less stranded in the outer reaches of space outside the solar system. You wake up from cryo-sleep to discover that your ship is unusable. Part of your task is to get it working again using salvaged parts.

You’ll also embark on a host of adventures, many of which are dangerous. There’s a killer soundtrack and lots of engaging dialogue to boot.

Arc The Lad was originally a tactical JRPG published by SEGA at the time. Arc The Lad R is not that game. Rather, it is a brand new title from Boltrend Games based on the popular SEGA franchise. It’s more of a strategy brain game than a tactical RPG, but very fun if you’re a fan of the franchise.

And if you like anime style art and graphics. There is also a very good story, and the character progression is not really lacking.

6. Weeping Suns

Crying Suns is a deep space strategy brain game filled with spaceship battles, exploration, political intrigue, and lots of demands that force you to think critically about every choice you make, including your resource management. Even small decisions may seem small, but they can have a profound impact.

This is another one of those strategy brain games that is definitely more of a challenge. It doesn’t hold your hand. But the payoff is incredible because the story and gameplay are excellent once you get into the swing of things.

10. Night of the Full Moon

  • Download cost: Free
  • Integrated Purchasing: Yes
  • Size: 70 Mb
  • Google Play rating: 4.1 out of 5 stars

Last but not least is Night of The Full Moon. This one is a bit different from the other games on this list. Both for its beautiful comic book style graphics and the addition of turn based card battles that are added to the mix.

Our favorite feature is the events that you can trigger randomly. This gives the game a procedural generation feel, which makes it more replayable. Which is a good thing to have in a mobile game.
